Youth Unlimited Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides programming that is designed to nourish, educate, and empower youths in our community. Our mission is to create quality recreational programs, educational services, and mentoring relationships for youths who need them most. Our program creates and sustains community-based, long term, one-to-one, and group relationships between trusted adult volunteer mentors and youths who lack a positive adult relationship. This relationship exposes youth-in-need to new opportunities for learning and growth, with an emphasis on positive youth development, academic achievement, health and wellness, prevention services, and critical skills for future self- sufficiency.
WHO WE ARE
Youth Unlimited Foundation integrates outcome measures for youths (e.g., academic achievement, wellness, skills development) into ongoing operations. Youth Unlimited Foundation values the belief in the power of human relationships, uncompromising program excellence, leadership in the mentoring field, community impact, and integrity.
We will help each participant pursue their goals by offering classes and workshops on self-fulfillment through peer-to-peer mentorship while the staff models excellence and persistence. Our organization will offer the following services to youths and young adults within the community: individual and adapted case management, tutoring, substance abuse support and care, medical clinic access, health seminars and screenings, computer literacy educational programs, government benefits and Social Services advocacy, support groups, and counseling.
The corporation's mission is to help underserved youths in the community by providing holistic programs that lead self-sufficiency through educational curriculum, advocacy, and overall supportive services. These programs will assist young adults and youths to develop social skills, life management skills, and to reduce unemployment for adults that are handicapped, underserved, underprivileged, disenfranchised, and disadvantaged. These services will enrich each participant with the resources to attain greater community involvement and balanced living. The target group will comprise of individuals between the ages of 8 to 25.
Our programs will help to combat illiteracy, truancy, gang involvement, teen pregnancy, homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse, substance abuse, poverty, violence, and unemployment. We provide the opportunities and resources to keep youths off the street, promote higher education, develop creativity, and provide the tools for each young person to be afforded with the means to make positive change in their lives. The objective of the program is to improve self-sufficiency measures of good citizenship, personal accountability, and serve as a vessel for participants to utilize and develop skills that will help them grow into dynamic and successful members in society. Our program provides positive structures and are designed to have performance indicators and measurable outcomes with leadership development services in all categories.
